Biography
Combining over 20 years of hands-on industry experience in various fields such as FinTech, MedTech, AI, and non-profit philanthropic organizations, Kang brings an energetic startup mentality and a proven record of motivating and coaching engineers to build amazing products. Ex-IBM Watson, the Second Generation AI Engineer. An engineering executive with multiple exits. Nerd whisperer. People leader.
With several patents in AI technology, Kang has worked for companies ranging from energy firms to defense contractors to large banks and served as Chief Technology Officer of a Nasdaq-listed fintech company in California. Kang also serves as an Executive Advisor to the founders and CEOs of global companies, including iHerb—a leading e-commerce giant in the health and wellness industry, with annual revenues exceeding $2.6 billion and a workforce of over 10,000 full-time employees worldwide.
As CTO of an international non-profit foundation, Kang successfully launched a pilot UBI program supporting over 3,000 moms and kids in Cambodia and worked directly with renowned NGOs such as the United Nations, Doctors Without Borders, and Cambodia Children's Fund.
